Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for administration of Postgres databases with secondary skills in administration of DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, Clickhouse, Neo4J.
Skill Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in Postgres database administration
- DB design (Architecture design principles, modelling, partitioning, setting standards and normalisation), installation, managing schemas, performance tuning, parameter tuning, storage management, DB maintenance, patching, upgrade, back-up & recovery, High availability ,replication and capacity planning.
- Coding Stored procedures
- Working with Linux OS including shell scripting.
- Strong experience in AWS and Azure environment.
- Experience with an organisation with reliance on 24x7 database services.
- Must be an initiative-taker & analytical person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key competencies
- Postgres database administration
- Skills on other database technologies like DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL, Clickhouse
- Cloud services - AWS and Azure.
